SOFT is a neutral and independent membership organization whose purpose is to promote safety and quality in performing rope access in particular, and work at height in general. SOFT has less than 30 member companies. SOFT has been part of developing the national standard for rope access «NS 9600 – Work in rope», and to ensure the certification scheme SOFT has established a certification body – Soft Sertifisering.As SOFT will work to promote Norwegian interests in the European standardization organization CEN and promote increased cooperation with international organizations, including the ECRA – European Commity for Rope Access. SOFT was founded 20 January 2000.
